Compound Miter Saw - Power Tools
A compound miter saw just doesn't cut up and down like a regular miter
saw, it can also act like a radial arm saw. It's like having two saws in
one. Most finish carpenters have replaced their old miter saws with a
brand new compound miter saw.
If you're planning on building a custom stairway, with
a complicated hand rail system, a compound miter saw could come in
handy. This saw is preferred by most finish carpenters who install crown
molding and other wood trim.
If I had to choose between a compound miter saw and a regular miter saw
today, I would get the compound miter saw.
