Vinyl Stair Treads - Stairway Flooring Protection
Vinyl stair treads are usually used to protect the original stairway steps. You can purchase this type of stairway protection in a variety of different shapes, sizes and design patterns. Some of them come in one continuous roll, while others fit over the individual stair treads.
Vinyl Stair Tread Tips
1. When they become worn, make sure that they're replaced, before they
become a safety hazard. This would include any holes, cuts or heavy
traffic damage. When they become damaged, there's a good chance that
they're not protecting the stairs or providing additional safety
benefits.
2. One of the biggest problems with vinyl stair treads is the
adhesive.
Once the adhesive loosens up, these stair steps will become a safety
hazard. Make sure that they're maintained regularly.
3. I just ran into this the other day. Literally, I just ran into it,
the other day. I was walking through a store, when I came across two
vinyl floor mats that I almost tripped over, because their corners were
sticking up like a flag waving in the air. Trip over me, please trip
over me and fall, because it's only a matter of time before someone
actually does.
If you have any vinyl mats or stair treads that are sticking up and you
don't have the time to fix them correctly, cut the the section off that
sticking up, to prevent anyone from tripping over the mats that is
supposedly providing additional traction, for safety.
