areas if you are planning on doing any types of alterations or replacing
a stairway.
You will also need a building permit to install a new set of stairs in a
building or if you're planning on building a structure with a set of
stairs.
Now for the best advice I could give anyone about whether or not you
need a building permit for your stairs. Contact your local building and
safety department to make sure these rules apply in your area.
