Stair Layout

Building stairs can be confusing. Don't start to layout and cut your stairs until you have made sure that all your measurements for the risers and treads are correct. In other words measured twice and cut once.

I've designed a step by step set of instructions for figuring out the stair rise and run. These instructions will be helpful for laying out your stairs and cutting your stair stringers.
