Concrete - House Construction And Stair Building
Concrete is usually one part cement, two parts sand in three parts gravel. It's been used for centuries by builders, architects and engineers. It is an extremely durable building material and is commonly used for building foundations, sidewalks and stairways.
Concrete can also be used to build almost any type of
stairway. You don't have to walk very far in most neighborhoods to find
a stairway that was built out of concrete.
Concrete also comes in different mixes that provide engineers with
different strengths. You can usually raise the strength of concrete by
increasing the gravel or rock size and adding more cement.
Concrete can also be purchased or mixed in different colors. It's not
uncommon to find concrete in the shape of rocks or sidewalks with
different designs.
Concrete is also used to make stair treads.
