Stair Carpeting Tips
I had to search all over the place, to find some of these incredible stair carpeting tips. I know, it was a lot of trouble, but you're worth it. If you're planning on installing your staircase carpeting on your own, you should at least read a few of these pointers, because they could save you a lot of frustration and even a couple of dollars.

Incredible Stair Carpeting Tips
1. Select the right carpeting, otherwise face the consequences.
Carpeting that won't bend easily over the stair step nosing, is going to
be hard to install correctly.
2. If you're going to use staples, make sure that you have a staple gun
that will drive the staples in the correct distance. Staples that aren't
driven in far enough or go right through the carpeting are going to
create problems in the future.
3. Make sure that you have a nice carpet padding for your stairway. This
area is going to be used heavily by the building occupants. Inferior
carpet padding, could actually increase the wear and tear on the
carpeting.
4. If some one else is going to carpet your stairway, make sure that
they clean the entire stairway, before installing the new carpeting.
This is a big problem and rarely done effectively, by professionals.
If you had the time and were willing to remove the carpeting yourself,
you could clean the entire home, plus the staircase. See if you could
work out a deal with the carpet installation company, sometimes they
will provide you with a price reduction, if you do some of the work
yourself.
5. Pick out the right color carpeting, otherwise face the consequences
later. I've met plenty of people who love the color red and will install
it, throughout their entire home.
This is fine, until it's actually time to sell the house and you end up
having a hard time selling it, unless you miraculously run across
another person who loves your home and the red carpeting.
Even if you're never planning on selling your home, some carpet colors
will affect your future interior design changes. If you're planning on
repainting the walls or purchasing different furniture, certain colors
just won't work.
The best stair carpeting tips I could give anyone would be to select a
moderate to high quality grape carpeting. Something with a high thread
count that's flexible. Stiff carpeting, high pile and poor backing can
create numerous problems for the carpet installer and homeowner.
